Often SeatGeek can be cheaper than sites like Living Social, even after handler fees. Prices will fluctuate leading up to a game, but you can “track” specific teams, events, artists or games you’d like to attend so you can quickly check pricing for those specific games on the app. You can buy tickets for a hockey or basketball game months out for as low as $9/ticket + $2 in handler fees (usually the lower the ticket price, the lower the handler fees) These cheap seats are nosebleed seats but that doesn’t bother me, you get an aerial view of the action and nothing beats watching games live! Also check their Facebook page for any current promo codes (usually for first-time users). One time they ran a promo FBLAD17 for $10 off your first SeatGeek purchase over $20!

Both of these sites will only list a select handful of games (usually weekday games or less exciting match-ups that don’t draw as much attendance). Tickets may not be as cheap as SeatGeek, but this option avoids pesky handler fees.
I don’t like it as much as there’s a multi-step process between buying the Living Social or Groupon voucher and the actual ticket reservation. You first have to buy the Living Social or Groupon voucher, then go to the original ticket seller website and apply it towards the actual ticket reservation and checkout. Most frequently listed are Clippers games these days.
If you are part of a union, check to see if you have union code that’ll give you access to this site! The handler fees are decreased in large amount here. Just don’t forget that you will need to print the tickets you purchase on this site (arrives via email a couple minutes after your electronic receipt). They will not let you scan barcodes from your phone, it needs to be hard-copy.

You can track teams and dates to either buy instantly or monitor prices as they fluctuate or go on a flash deal or “comp train”. (Note: You can’t select seats but you will have tickets seated together if you have multiple tickets in the same order).
