Free app and account with an LA Library card. You can download 5 songs per week. Their selection is nowhere close to iTunes, but they do have access to some of the biggest radio hits and a huge database of songs. You can also create playlists without actually downloading songs.
itunes
Every week iTunes releases singles that are free to download, usually from newer artists. Also during TV pilot season, TV show pilot episodes are free for download. It’s also a great place to listen to podcasts.
amazon prime
Lots of free tv and movie streaming with an Amazon Prime membership.
vudu
Vudu has a “Deals” section where you can stream movies for free (with ads) but when the ads come on, it gives you a chance to use the bathroom or grab a snack.
hulu
There are certain TV shows that are accessible for free without having a paid Hulu account. Usually it will be the first few seasons of a tv show (not all the available seasons) but if you’re new to a show, that’s a perfect way to check out the show.
